Our batteries use patented Silicate salt compounds rather than lead-acid formulations, and therefore operate nominally in a wide temperature range from -40C to + 70C, generally negating the requirement for heating, cooling and ventilation;
Since both our Bolt Ultra and Silicon Gel Batteries are designed for use in extreme environments and emit no gasses, they do not freeze, overheat, or spill toxic materials or gasses. This normally eliminates the need for separate enclosures, heating and cooling units, as well as routine inspections, thereby significantly reducing project installation and ongoing maintenance costs
The Bolt Ultra battery has up to 2200+ cycles when using 50% discharge, which is approximately 4x the number of cycles of lead-acid batteries. The Silicon Gel battery is rated for up to 1600 charging cycles
Because of the low internal resistance of our batteries, BTS equipment is not required, as the amount of heat generated during the charging process is minimal
Our patented electrolyte is composed of non-hazardous materials and contain a neutral PH solution, consisting of ammonium sulfate, which can even be used as fertilizer at the end of the battery’s life-cycle. Additionally, the electrolyte does not degrade the lead, allowing the batteries to be fully refurbished, which can save up to 40% of the cost of new batteries.
Our batteries can be rapidly recharged without in 60 minutes at 3 C / 14.4 V, without effecting battery life
Yes, we have designed and provide a battery monitoring solution. Contact us to learn more about this feature
The self-discharge rate is approximately 10% per year when stored at an ambient temperature of between 20 C to 25 C
